Two suspected militants shot dead in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 8 (IANS) Security forces have gunned down two suspected militants in Manipur, police said on Friday.

The Assam Rifles shot dead the two near Rihang village in Ukhrul district on Wednesday.

Police said the suspected militants had set up an ambush along the path the personnel took for daily patrol.

After the gunfight between the two sides ended, one AK-56 assault rifle and 10 rounds of ammunition were found at the spot.
