UAE: Basava Samithi, traditionally celebrated the birthday of great saint and social reformer Basavanna “Basava Jayanti”, with pomp and gaiety at the JSS Private School Auditorium here on May 1.
Ma Ni Pra Gurubasava Swamiji who flew from India to grace the occasion congratulated UAE Basava Samithi for implementing the principles of Basavanna.
Ramjan Darga, a noted and eminent scholar who has made remarkable study on the principles and teachings of Basavanna, narrated the main objectives and principles of Basavanna to lead a happy and successful life and explained the importance and significance of “Basava Vachanas” which enlightened the huge gathering.
Further, a noted comedian and humorist Basavaraj Mahamani entertained and provided laugh therapy to the crowd with rib tickling stand up comedy which made everyone feel relaxed and happy.
Variety of cultural programmes and fancy dress competitions of tiny tots added more colour to the programme.
A day-long “Basava Jayanthi” was celebrated successfully with full of entertainment.
