UAE: Biggest ever Modhesh World kicks off on July 9 for 52 days of non-stop family fun

Largest number of attractions to ensure “Every step is a new adventure” from 9 July – 29 August

UAE: The 16th edition of Modhesh World kicks off today (Thursday, 9 July), promising 52 days of non-stop fun for the entire family through the most extensive line-up of attractions assembled at a family edutainment destination in the region.

Modhesh World, organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), has grown in stature over the years, ever since it was launched in 2000 as the home of Dubai’s popular mascot Modhesh.

Today, Modhesh World is set to take family entertainment to a completely new level with its biggest ever edition. Occupying an area of over 34,000 sq m at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Modhesh World 2015 offers the largest number of attractions at a theme park of its kind in the region, ranging from games to rides, thrilling adventures to interactive experiences. Each of its eight halls has its own identity and adventure, offering families and young ones of all age groups and cultural backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy a memorable summer.

Modhesh World 2015, which runs until 29 August, features five new attractions; The Slide- featuring three slides that can be enjoyed by the whole family; Mirror Maze- a glass house adventure involving mirror reflections; Valkyrie- a thrilling shooting experience between humans and zombies; Fly Jump- featuring multiple trampolines across a premium space to have fun the healthy way and X-Rider- a 5D motion theatre setting that promises to bring on the chills.

Adding extra sparkle to the summer fun at Modhesh World will be appearances by Arab stars Nancy Ajram and Hala Turk. On 16 August, the region’s favourite teen star, Hala Turk will perform at the Modhesh World Stage while singing icon Nancy Ajram will perform at the same venue on 24 August.

During the holy month of Ramadan and to stimulate greater interest among families, the organisers are offering free entry to Modhesh World from 9am to 4pm while from 4pm until closing time, the price of entrance tickets will be only AED 10 per person. During the month of Ramadan, a 50 percent discount is being offered on all games at Modhesh World.

Modhesh World will be open daily from 9am – midnight (Saturday toWednesday) and 9am – 1am on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key attractions at Modhesh World 2015:


This brand new attraction offers young adventurers an exciting opportunity to participate in a thrilling shooting competition against zombies. Ideal for children aged 8 years and above, Valkyrie is located in Hall 7.

The Slide:

Designed to entertain children of all ages, The Slide debuts at Modhesh World as a fun ride in a safe setting. It comprises of three slides and helps children to conquer their fear of heights and polish their coordination skills.

The X-Rider:

A four-seater 5D motion theatre, effects at the X-Rider promise to bring on the chills and thrills. Located at Hall 7 of Modhesh World, the theatre also offers other special effects and simulations and guarantees to hold little minds in rapt attention.

Fly Jump:

A great way to have fun and burn extra calories, the Fly Jump features multiple trampolines spread across a premium space at Hall 2 at Modhesh World. Ideal for kids between six and 15, this new attraction promises to be a popular and safe choice among kids.

Mirror Maze:

The Mirror Maze plays games with reflections in a glasshouse and offers a treat for curious minds, as guests get to discover a world of strange and mind-bending reflections of themselves. Located at Hall 4 in Modhesh World, Mirror Maze is open for kids aged from 9 onwards.

Hello Kitty:

A complete edutainment for young minds to polish their social skills, learn new ones in a creative ambience and discover an exciting world of opportunities alongside their favourite cat— a much-sought after space at Modhesh World.

Scary Machine:

Just as the name suggests and intended for children aged from 9-15 years, Scary Machine is a thrilling combination of speed, altitude and non-stop excitement with a rotating cart ride that promises a crazy time from start to finish.


A new attraction and one that can bring on the family fun, the Rebound skill game tests the gamer’s hand-eye coordination skills as participants try and bounce a ball off a board and into a win box to take home exciting prizes. Located at Hall 2, the game is ideal for participants of all ages.

Crazy Bikes:

Young ones get to test their riding skills with bikes featuring ‘crazy’ handlebars and ideal for the 6-12 age group who are looking for a motor adventure of their own.

Water Blast:

Located at Hall 2, Water Blast is a great way to spend time with family, hone their aiming skills and win fabulous prizes, using water machines to knock down tin targets. Ideal for teenagers and families.

Fishing Frogs:

Open to all ages, this game puts to test fishing skills as the fastest to catch the moving frogs, go home with great prizes. Popular among the gaming crowds, this game is located at Hall 2.

Monster House:

The stuff of nightmares, spooky characters pounce down on unsuspecting guests sending shivers down their spine. Clearly, a ride not meant for the faint hearted, the haunted Monster House can be explored at Hall 3.
