UAE: EIFF Karnataka Chapter Holds Annual Sports Meet

UAE: Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF), Karnataka chapter organized Annual sports meet at the Al Ain Sports Ground on January 1, 2016. Javed Surathkal inaugurated the sports meet.

In his inaugural speech Javed Suratkal said, “Sport has historically played an important role in all societies, be it in the form of competitive sport, physical activity or play. Sports has been increasingly recognized and used as a low-cost and high-impact tool in humanitarian, development and peace-building efforts”. He congratulated the organizers and the participants.

The entire crowd was divided into four teams with different colour code. Various games/events were conducted such as 100 meters, 200 meters, 4X100 relay, kabbadi, volley ball, football and tug of war.

Bur-Dubai team emerged as champions for the third time in a row. Separate competitions were held for women and children.

Entrepreneur Nasir K K and Rashid Bejai were the chief guests for the prize distribution ceremony. Executive member of EIFF Dubai Sector Sarafraz Kapu and Firoz Karnad were also present. The winners were awarded with trophies by Nasir K K.

Irfan Yermal delivered the vote of thanks.
