UAE: Thumbay Hospital Dubai to Conduct ‘Count Your Steps – To Beat Diabetes’ Program on December 5

UAE: Thumbay Hospital – Dubai, the ultra-modern academic hospital owned by Thumbay Group will hold a unique diabetes awareness program themed “Count Your Steps – To Beat Diabetes” at the hospital from 9 am to 11 pm on Saturday, 5th December 2015.

Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group said that the program was being conducted with the aim of spreading awareness about the importance of physical activity in the prevention of diabetes. “The program is intended to encourage the participants to make ‘every step count’ by finding ways to keep themselves active, for a healthier future,” he said.

As part of the program, participants will be given free consultations with the Internal Medicine Specialist, Eye Specialist, Dental Specialist and General Physicians.Participants can also avail free blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI checks. Free pedometers (step counters) will also be distributed to all attendees. The program is expected to benefit over 1000 people.
