The 21st edition of Dubai Shopping Festival enters its second week today (8 January) with a line-up of gold and jewellery-themed events aimed at highlighting one of the ever expanding segment in Dubai’s thriving retail sector.

DSF organisers, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has worked closely with luxury jewellery brands and the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG)to ensure shoppers enjoy an enriching shopping experience through exciting retail activations and promotions.

In addition to rewarding people with excellent deals the shopping experience at the Gold and Jewellery themed segment includes giving DSF shoppers incredible insights into the world of gold and jewellery, offering shoppers numerous opportunities to buy and be entertained – while also learning about the gold and jewellery industry.

Dhamani, in collaboration with DSF, will be hosting a private event giving guests the chance to meet famed Italian jewellery designer, Luciano Ponticello, and Iconic Arab singer, Assala Nasri, who will be the Guest of Honour at the event titled ‘Jewel Designs Journey’. Guests will be given a great insight into how high-end jewellery is designed and created, until the time they adorn the shelves of the Dhamani 1969 boutique at The Dubai Mall.

Korloff will host a special private dinner with distinguished guests during the Dubai Shopping Festival, with the Guest of Honour at this function beingthe famous Arab singer , Balqees. There will also be an exclusive showing of Korloff’s unique bridal jewellery collection. Shoppers can look forward to a special 30% off of on products in Korloff’s Boutique in The Dubai Mall only from the 8th – 14th January.

One of the largest regional gold stores, Damas, will be offering exclusive deals during DSF, including free cleaning services for jewellery during DSF, and a special jewellery cleaning kit upon purchase of items. Customers will also be taken through a small presentation on how to look after their jewellery. This will be available on the following dates: 8 Jan at Mall of the Emirates; 9 Jan at The Dubai Mall; 10 Jan at City Centre Deira; 11 Jan at Dubai Festival City Mall; 12 Jan at City Centre Mirdif; 13 Jan at Al Ghurair Centre; 14 Jan at Mercato Mall.

Damas will also be holding a special showcase of Roberto Coin pieces in both its Mall of the Emirates and Wafi Mall stores. Damas will also be doing exclusive influencer activities at the Folli Follie stores, and shoppers will be able to receive 50% off on selected items during the gold and jewellery themed period.

Harvey Nichols will conduct a special Diamond Workshop on the 14thJanuary toenlighten customers on the diamond industry and tips and tricks to help expand their knowledge of diamonds. Bloomindales will likewise be bringing in a gemstone specialist on the 13th January to give people a unique idea of how gems are coloured and how they can affect an individual’s personality.

Samra Jewellery and Arabic fashion influencer Roaa Al Sabban have collaborated with each other for the first time to create a unique bracelet for the Dubai Shopping Festival. The 18K gold bracelet will be sold during DSF with Roaa Al Sabban doing an exclusive launch of the bracelet where she will meet fans and pose for photo opportunities. Samra Jewellery will also have special promotions during DSF, with 6% discount on select items.
