“The BJP has no moral right to talk about the farmers as they destroyed the hopes of farmers while they were in power. We are working hard on strengthening the roots of the party at the village level. The Congress has lived up to the expectations of the people by delivering on its promises.” He said that the party will hold a rally in Udupi in the coming days.

The BJP had earlier promised to shed their blood for the development of the Bramhavar Sugar factory but they failed to release the dues to the farmers. The Congress government released Rs 12 crore to the farmers and factory workers, he added.
