Udupi: BJP Will Win 18 Zilla Panchyat Seats – Tingale Vikaramarjuna Hegde

Udupi: “We will win over the Congress party in Udupi ZP with 18 out of the 26 seats,” said BJP District President Tingale Vikaramarjuna Hegde, he was addressing a press meet at the BJP office here, on February 17.

“The BJP rule in ZP was corruption free and three presidents have effectively performed their duties by safeguarding the interests of the people and also promoting their welfare,” he added.

The Congress in its fake promises of supplying water from Varahi and building a hi-tech hospital has cheated the people. The BJP wave in the district will retain the Udupi ZP. Independent MLA of Kundapur Haladi Srinivas Shetty has come in support of the BJP ZP and TP candidates in Kundapur. “We have given equal opportunities to all the communities, this serves as a fitting reply to the critics. Congress is trying its best to win the ZP by money power which the voters will reject. Our party workers are monitoring every move of the Congress party workers who are trying hard to woo voters by distributing money and sarees. We have been bringing such instances to the notice of the election officers,” he added.

Hegde said that the victory of BJP in the by-elections of Hebbal and Bidar constituency showed that Congress had been rejected by the people for administrative lapses.

People have still restored faith in the Yeddyurappa led BJP government which announced prominent schemes like the Bhagyalakshmi scheme and waived the loans of farmers, people desire the same government in the next state elections which can live up to their expectations by promoting their welfare, he said.
