Udupi: The District Sessions Court has sentenced the Bus staff of Madhav Kripa English medium School to 13-years imprisonment for sexually harassing girl children in the bus.
According to the prosecution, Shubah Kumar a bus staff sexually harassed a girl student in bus.

Recalling the incident – The child studying in Madhav Kripa School of Manipal was said to have been sexually assaulted by two bus personnel and was later dropped to her house by auto rickshaw. The child then informed about the heinous act to her parents. A case was registered after two days in the Manipal Police Station.
Savitha Hoogar probationary DySP Manipal filed the charge sheet to District court with offences under three provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Section 376 (1) of the Indian Penal Code.
During the conclusion of the trial, Principal District Sessions Judge Shivashanker Amarannavar held Shubah Kumar guilty. Convicting him for all offences, the Judge sentenced him to undergo 13-year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 13,000. Other accused, Sudhir K was acquitted of the charges.
