Udupi: Daily Wage Worker Found Dead at Karavali Junction; Brothers Suspect Murder

Udupi: The body of a man was found in a road side near Karavali Junction here, on Tuesday January 26.


The deceased has been identified as Kari Basava (45) a resident of North Karnataka. He was working in Udupi as daily wage worker for past some years.


According to the police, on hearing about a body lying near Karavali Junction, social worker Vishu Shetty rushed to the spot and informed the Town Police. Udupi CPI Shrikanth along with Meenakshi SI crime visited the spot and sent it to the Government Royapettah Hospital for a post-mortem examination.


The brothers of Kari Basva are said to have found some wounds on the victim’s body. They suspect that Kari Basava was murdered by miscreants.

A case has been registered in Town Police Station, investigation is on.
