Udupi: Dalit Community Girl Sexually Assaulted in Santhekatte

Udupi: A ninth standard girl belonging to a Dalit family was sexually assaulted by an unidentified person here, at Kelanejaru village in Santhekatte.

According to the Malpe police, they received intimation from the hospital stating that one of the patients was sexually assaulted and had been admitted with complains of stomach ache. The police said that the girl studies in Thenkanidiyur Government High School and her parents are daily wage workers.

The police said that the girl is not in a condition to reveal everything in her present condition; she seems to be mentally disturbed. An FIR has been filed in this regard. However, after finding the culprit, further details will be revealed. The police suspect that someone from the school may have committed the crime.
