Udupi: Drowning Case in Malpe – Victim’s Body Washes Ashore at Hanuman Nagar

Udupi: The body of Shivakumar (22) from Bengaluru, who had drowned in sea at the Malpe-Vadabhandewshar beach on Wednesday, washed ashore at Hanuman Nagar in Kola on Thursday.

He hailed from Hirekerur in Haveri district, but stayed in Classic Prince Apartments on Bannerghatta road.

He was among a group of 13 youngsters, seven male and six female, who had come to enjoy at the beach. Shivakumar had drowned and had gone missing. Efforts were being made from Wednesday to trace him.

After a post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the family. A case has been filed by the Malpe police.
