Udupi: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of St Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle, organized Yuva Ektar a programme for the youth at the Church Hall on Sunday 21, June 2015. Fr Sunil Kumar D’Souza was the resource person for the event.

Mascarenhas along with other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion Fr Clement Mascarenhas said that, in the modern society youth need to make use of their talents and prosper. Like a sculptor shapes an ordinary rock into a beautiful statue, the younger generation also needs to shape their lives with their work towards the betterment of the society.
Addressing the participants, resource person Fr Sunil Kumar D’Souza delivered the message of love and friendship. He explained how important the younger generation is like a backbone to the society and the impact they can make at different levels in today’s world. Being a youth is a crucial age which is the right time to adopt good values to shape their life and make a difference, he said.

Sunil’s talk and found it very useful. Hailing from Moodubelle Parish Fr Sunil Kumar D’Souza has been a dynamic priest since 11 years, he began his priesthood as Asst Parish Priest at Modankap – Bantwal. He was later sent by the Bishop to do the Master’s in Canon Law studies to Bangalore for three years. Thereafter he served in Thannirbavi as the Parish Priest and at the same time he was the Associate Judicial Vicar in the Mangalore Diocesan Tribunal. Then for one year he was the professor for Canon law at the St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bangalore. This year he will be doing Diploma Course in Religious Formation and Counselling at NVSC, Pune.
The guests and dignitaries present for the programme were Fr Victor Fernandes, Church Pastoral Council Vice President A K Alva, Secretary Latha D’Mello, ICYM Animators Vincent Fernandes and Rovita Fernandes, YCS Animator John Castelino, Youth Committee President Joseph Martis and ICYM President Nevil D’Souza.
