Udupi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, to hold month-long  District-wide campaign, ‘Quran For All’


Udupi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Udupi district has planned to organize a month wide campaign in the concept of “Quran for All” during 1st – 31st March, 2016.

The Quran is the literal word of God, which He revealed to His Prophet Muhammad. Quran is meant for the entire mankind; It is revealed from God for the sake of guidance of people of the world which contains in it knowledge. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind strongly believe that it is indeed guidance to mankind and it becomes duty upon Muslims to convey the guidance of the Quran to each and every human being. Due to lack of knowledge and guidance about Quran, there is a misunderstanding and ignore developed in the community.  Through this campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind try to clear ignorance and several misunderstandings about Islam, through personal communications. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind believe that through this campaign, we can build better, stronger community and create a peaceful atmosphere.

Speaking on the campaign,   Shabbir Ahmed, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Udupi District said, “Our fellow countrymen harbour a lot of misunderstandings and confusion regarding Islam and Muslims. In this one month, it would be our endeavor to clear them up and to change the hatred and aloofness that has been created all these years with love, brotherhood and closeness. During the campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Udupi would conduct personal meetings, and meet all parts of religious, social, political and academic leaders. We also plan to organize indoor public addresses, essay competitions, vehicle and media displays in addition to distributing books, booklets, pamphlets and Kannada and English copies of the Holy Quran among our countrymen.

On 27th March, 2016, campaign concluding programme will be held at Town Hall, Udupi.

    Great – this is exactly what we needed!!! May be, the organizers can answer my simple questions that our taquiyya artist Shaikh refuses to answer.

    – What should be the punishment for apostasy and blasphemy?
    – What is the punishment for adultery?
