Udupi: Journalist-Photo Enthusiast A Ishwarayya Feted on His Landmark of 75

Udupi: Veteran journalist, art critic and photography enthusiast A Ishwarayya was felicitated on completion of 75 years of age in the Sharada auditorium in Kunjibettu here on Sunday.

The function was organized by Raaga Dhana organization. Both Ishwarayya and his wife Girija were honoured with lighting of 75 lamps in their honour.
Nagaswara artiste Nagesh Bappanad inaugurated the programme. Dr B Surendra Rao, formerly of the department of History at Mangaluru University, presided over the programme.
Responding to the felicitation, Ishwarayya credited his achievements to the profession of journalism. Any project or programme could be a success only through a collective effort, he opined.
Lecturer Varadaraj Chandragiri was the chief guest. Artistes Gargi Shabaraya, Umashankari and Pratibha Samaga delivered felicitation speeches.
K Sadashiva Rao of Raaga Dhana was also present. Aravind Hebbar welcomed the gathering and also compered the programme.
