Udupi: Rs 1.40-lakh Gold Chains Snatched from Woman Passenger in Train at Barkur

Udupi: Girija Rajan (53), hailing from Kozhikode in Kerala, lost her expensive gold chains to a snatcher on Nov 17.

She was travelling with a group of relatives from Mangaluru to Byndoor. At Barkur station, an unidentified young man, aged between 25 and 30 years, is said to have suddenly arrived and snatched two gold chains weighing 60 gms, valued at Rs 1.40 lakh from her neck. He fled the spot immediately.

A case has been registered in the Brahmavar police station.
