Udupi: Sri Ram Sene to hold Abhyasavarga from July 25 at Manipal

Udupi: The training programme of Sri Ram Sene South Zone will be held at Sri Narasimha Temple, Manipal from July 25 to July 26, said Mahesh Koppa, President Sri Ram Sene, South Zone. He was addressing the mediapersons at a press meet held at the Press Club here, on July 21.

Problems affecting the Hindu community will be addressed during the training programme. Issues like cow slaughter, love jihad, conversions and attack on leaders of Hindu community will be discussed. A plan will also be made to strengthen Sri Ram Sene.

“The police are booking cases against activists who prevent cow slaughter. The government is dropping cases filed against KFD and PFI activists while innocent activists are being targeted by the government.” He also said that the Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on the Datta Peeta issue and grand celebrations would be held in this regard.

Working President of SRS, Sri Siddalinga Swamiji of Karuneshwar Math will inaugurate the training programme. Sri Esha Vittal Dasa Swamiji of Kemar Sandipani Math will be present during the concluding ceremony. Founder of Sri Ram Sene, Pramod Muthalik and other leaders will also be present.

Mohan Bhat, District President of SRS Udupi; Shyam Prasad H, District General Secretary; Jayaram Ambekallu; Dinesh Pangala and others were present.

    Incidents of communal violence in India rose by nearly a quarter in the first five months of this year compared to the same period in 2014, the Economic Times reports.

    The newspaper, citing data from India’s Home Ministry, also reported a rise in deaths from communal violence, which rose from 26 between January and May 2014 to 43 over the same period this year.
