Udupi: St Mary’s English Medium School Students Bag Various Prizes in Sports

Udupi: The students of St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady have won many prizes at the state and district level sports events.

Shamanth Rao has won 2nd place in Under 17 Boys’ Singles and Men’s Doubles while Glancia Pinto has won 2nd place in Girls’ Singles and 3rd place in Girls’ Doubles at the state level badminton tournament organized by the Chitradurga Badminton Association held in Chitradurga district.

Shamanth Rao, Glancia Pinto and Neha Harish have won 1st place and are qualified for the next level in the state level Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan held at Ajjarkad organized by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports.

The students of the school have also won many prizes in the Udupi-Mangaluru district level badminton competition organized by Golden Shuttle Mangaluru. Glancia Pinto won the 1st prize while Neha Harish won the 2nd prize in Under 19 Girls’ Singles. Shamanth Rao won the 2nd prize in Boys’ Singles. Glancia Pinto and Neha Harish also won the 2nd prize in the Girls’ Doubles while Prashasth K won the 1st prize in Under 10 Boys’ Singles and Doubles.
