Udupi: Theft in Kota House during Owners’ Tirupati Pilgrimage – Big Loss Likely

Udupi: A house belonging to transport entrepreneur Ramachandra Kamath in Kota was found broken into on Saturday morning.

The Kamath family had left on a pilgrimage tour to Tirupati. Kamath’s sister-in-law who lives with them had gone to stay with her grandmother in a nearby house. The break-in came to light when she returned on Saturday morning.

The police were informed, who in turn called district canine and forensic squads to investigate.

The owners have been informed. Only after their return the exact quantum of loss could be evaluated, said the police. The value of stolen goods could be high, according the family sources.
