Udupi: Two youth from Pithrodi drowned in the sea at Kodi Bengre near Kemmannu on Thursday, October 22.
The deceased person have been identified as Pradeep (22) and Pramod (21), residents of Pithrodi, Udyavara.
A group of 4 youth, including the victims, arrived at Kodi Bengre beach in the evening. All 4 got into the sea to swim. Suddenly Pradeep and Pramod were dragged by high waves and drowned. Their friends immediately informed the locals and police. The local swimmers and police arrived at the spot and the search operation is on for the missing youth.
A complaint has been registered in the Malpe Police Station.
