Udupi: Yakshagana Artiste Sadashiva Hegde (48) Trips into Channel and Drowns

Udupi: Sadashiva Hegde (48), a well-known Yakshagana artiste from Ajri who was affiliated to the Madamakki troupe, died after falling into a drainage channel near his house at Ilali on Friday.

He had performed in a number of Yakshagana shows under the Perdoor, Saukoor, Kamalashile, Mandarti, Bagwadi, Haladi, Sigandur and other troupe. He was known for his skill of having played a variety of versatile roles.

In all, he had 33 years of performing career. His death has been condoled by a large number of Yakshagana enthusiasts and organizers.
