Shree Umamaheshwara Temple theft at Attavar

Mangaluru: A theft of silver ornaments had taken place in the Shree Umamaheshwara temple at Attavar here on August 4.

The theft came to light when the children came to  the temple  early morning for prayer.

Speaking to mangalorean.com the archak of the temple said that the silver ornaments on the idols were stolen from the temple. The children who came to pray found the front door open and informed us. The miscreants broke open the lock by using a hacksaw.

The canine squad and finger print experts reached the spot. Pandeshwar Police inspector along with his team has also reached the spot for further investigations.
