Unauthorized Liquor Worth Rs 25,500 from Goa Seized
Udupi: The railway security officials from Karwar and here seized liquor worth Rs 25,500 being transported from Goa without any requisite permit at Bhatkal on Friday.
The seizure was made in the Matsyagandha Express running from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Mangaluru.
The stock, consisting of 260 bottles of 750 ml and 105 bottles of 180 ml, is said to have been loaded at Canacona and meant to be taken delivery of in Mangaluru.
No arrests were made as the consignment was found without any owner or claimant around.
