Uri terror attack: blind father loses second son in Bihar

Jagnarain Singh, 78, has been blind for the last 20 years. But now more than ever, he wishes he could see again. “I still have some strength left in me to fight Pakistan alongside the Indian Army to avenge my son’s death. The way terrorists slayed our soldiers, we should do the same,” said Jagnarain, father of Havildar Ashok Kumar Singh (44), who died in Sunday’s attack.

This is not the first such tragedy to hit the Singh family — in 1986, Jagnarain’s eldest son, Kamta Singh, a 23-year-old sepoy in the Indian Army, had died in a bomb blast in Bikaner.

The Singh family has sent many men to serve the country. Ashok’s eldest son, Vikas Singh, joined recently and is posted as a sepoy at the Danapur Cantonment. Ashok’s grandfather, Rajgrih Singh, and his two uncles, Shyam Narayan Singh and Ramvilas Singh, also served in the Army. Two of his nephews are in the Army as well.

But at the moment, anger runs deep in the household. Blaming the Centre for not doing enough to tackle terrorism, Jagnarain said, “This is the same government that talked of cutting the 10 heads of enemies to avenge the beheading of five Indian soldiers.”

The family was informed of Ashok’s death on Monday morning. Ever since news broke that many of those killed were from the Bihar Regiment, the family had been trying to contact him.

“He had just joined Uri after his battalion moved from Binnaguri (West Bengal). He had come home from July 14-29,” said Surendra Singh, a relative.

Ashok had left his wife Sangeeta at their village in Bihar, promising to take her with him once he got accommodation at his new posting. Ashok’s youngest son, Vishal, is studying in a college in Ara. The Singh family owns a total of three bighas of land.

As villagers and government officials gathered at their single-storey pucca house, Ashok’s wife Sangeeta and mother Rajmunna Devi were inconsolable.

Sangeeta said she had spoken to Ashok three days ago, and he seemed excited at the new challenging posting.

Jitendra Singh, a villager, said, “Ashok joined the Army in 1992 and had decided to settle in the village after his retirement. He would always encourage youths to join the Army.”

  1. Aruna from beef club finds it more important to attack sri Modiji than identifying and calling out our enemy. His foreign masters should be proud of him and other geniuses from beef club. Job well done.

    • Aruna from beef club finds it more important to attack Sri Modiji than identifying and calling out our enemy. – Mr. Shreeeemaaanaa Rampa. 😉

Lol! You OK RampaNNA? Arun was asking you just how ‘beeeggga’ is the girth of our PM’s chest – a statement (myth actually) that the PM himself made and which simple Simon, you, believe!

And in all probability and possibility he was implying – “Where did the 56 ‘incher’s’ guts and gumption go retaliate against the enemy?” And there you go falsely accusing him of “attacking” the PM.

But then, WHO is to explain stuff to you? I can STILL recollect your lifelong troubles with Abru’s Biryani. 🙂

  2. Looking at the responses from Aruna and joker Pinto, one has to start wondering about the true motives of beef club. Here is the story of a hindu father who has lost two of his sons to terrorism. Apparently beef club doesn’t care. Nor does it care to call out the enemy. Mocking and attacking sanaathana leaders while crying discrimination and imaginary attacks on places of worship are the only thing they seem to be interested in!!

    • Mocking and attacking Sanaaaathaaanaaaa leaders while crying discrimination and imaginary attacks on places of worship…. lah dee dah.. – Yumreeki Joker RampaNNA

If I remember right, wasn’t it you who was mocking and attacking almost everybody in the Cong Party? And those guys weren’t Sanaaathaanaaaaaaaa leaders, eh?

ThyampaNNA, I guess the Babri Masjid demolition was an act of sheer imagination, right?

Lol… this guy seems to be on some perpetual high!

  3. Rampa, if you really care for the blind father you could donate your Gurudakshina to him this year instead of RSS. If you really care about terrorism you could resign your job and register your protest, becoz the biggest sponsor of Pakistan still remains America the country you have adopted. The same money is used to kill our soldiers for whom you shed crocodile tears. Alternatively you could also take your gun and avenge the murder of our soldiers.

    • “…Alternatively, you could also take your gun and avenge the murder of our soldiers”. Arun to Yumreeki Joker RampaNNA.

Oh yeah, I can actually picture the scene. Yumreeki RampaNNA picks up his alsande shooter and rappels down from a chopper into Pak. Somehow, he locates all the terrorists and shoots them down. Like Rambo in First Blood – Part II. His peashooter NEVER runs out of bullets as the Paki rats are annihilated. Wow!

  4. Aruna D’Souza and Joker Pinto continue to prove my earlier observations better than my wildest imagination!! After being called out for his behavior unique to Beef Club members, Aruna comes back with a laundry list for me including a suggestion to join army and fight enemy. How noble!! This is the same guy who hasn’t said a word critical of those pro-Pak rats. He has all the time to mock our PM, santhana dharma organizations and yours truly. But, not a word on peaceful friends. Again, his foreign masters should be very proud of what they managed to create before exiting bharatha. Who would have thought that self-hatred was so easy to teach? smiles…

  5. “…the Babri Masjid demolition…” – Joker Praveena Pinto

I’m not sure what you mean. Are you referring to Sri Raama Temple at Ayodhya? Just wondering.

    • I’m not sure what you mean. Are you referring to Sri Rama Temple at Ayodhya? Just wondering. – Yumreeki Thyampe

Lol. Just “wondering” or wandering.. or meandering? I wonder!

Oh, so you never heard about the Babri Masjid demolition, eh? Never mind. Can’t help it if you have your nose stuck in some warm corner of Surathi, can I? 😉 Here.. take a peek:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demolition_of-the-Babri_masjid

And oh, once you open the link, please note how para 2 goes. Cheers ya Rampa.

  6. “…you never heard about the Babri masjid demolition…? asks Joker Praveena Pinto

Well, I have heard about Sri Raaama temple in Ayodhya that was demolished by a foreign invader who built a house of worship named after him. I guess you are referring to the same structure, right? The other demolition I heard was in mangalooru city area when a few ‘social workers’ demolished a house and went absconding for weeks!!

  7. I guess you are referring to the same structure, right? – Shaker of Truth

Bravo! You do learn at times, don’t you – especially when it is pounded into that boilerplate encased appendage that sits atop your neck! And, that “structure” my dear Shaker of Truth, was called Babri Masjid.

You see, there may have been a Temple at the disputed site. However, as long back as 24 Dec., 1884, sub judge Pandit Harikishen Singh dismissed a suit for rights/construction of a Temple on the land that was occupied by the mosque. Justice FEA Chamier (on 18 Mar 1986) too dismissed an appeal filed in the lower court. He ruled that it was “too late to remedy the grievance”. A subsequent appeal was also dismissed by Judicial Commissioner Young on 1 dec 1986. (sources: wikepedia and others)

Makes one wonder then, what on earth possessed the fringe elements to take the law into their own hands! See what jokes those fringees are!

And, the other ‘house’ that was demolished in Mlore, it was their V OWN. In fact, the presiding judge THREW out the writ – terming it ‘frivolous’! Hahahahaha!

Looks like your sense of ‘truth’ is all shaken and stirred! And you call yourself “seeker”! Lmao! 🙂

  8. “…too late to remedy…” writes illiterate Pinto who doesn’t understand how reality works!!

I should remind him how his foreign masters established Israel after 2000 years, drawing new boundaries an displacing local arabs!! Nobody told your masters that it was too late to remedy. However, when it comes to sanaathana dharma, self-hating Beef Club has trouble showing double standards. Beef Club and double standards? Who would have thought, right? smiles…

    • I should remind him how his foreign masters established after 2000 years. – Tooth Shakera Rampa

Fortunately for you, my immediate rebuttal to this of yesterday was not posted out here. And man, I’m not gonna dig up stuff for you all over again. You have a spade – for snow and sand. Go dig!

Try going back to the late 18th century – circa 1896 or so and research Zionism, Theodor Herzl, ‘The Jewish State’ etc. Drop your Surathi and Telefunken radio – the former for your jollies and the latter for your ‘Mann ki Shanthi after listening to ‘Monkey Baath’). Get some clues and revert. Probably then we could talk about something else other than your 2000 Koti Rupaiyeeeee and Israel after 2000 years and 7th century book and MIA incidents! ‘Kapisce/kapeesh’, Rampu?

Poor Yumreeki Dodo! Tries to equate the ‘formation’ of a Country with that of demolition of a disputed structure in a democratic republic called India! Jeez! What is this chap tripping on?

Gubboy! Now, please do your HW and lets say ‘Hi, howdy do?’ morrow on this topic, ok? And hey, YOUR western masters are ALWAYS to be blamed, k?

  9. I should remind him how his foreign masters established Israel after 2000 years. – Yumreeki RamaNNA under the new name of ‘Tooth Shaker’

    Dear Tooth Shaker,

Poor you, man! You have been reading your fav. Surathi all this while. Anyway, let me help you comprehend stuff and hey, pl. don’t blame me if almost all of it bounces off that boilerplate kopdi!

In 1896, Theodore Herzl published ‘Der Judenstaat’ (The Jewish State) in which he asserted that the solution towards growing anti-Semitism in Eurpoe was the creation of a Jewish State. In 1897, the Zionist Organization was founded and the first Zionist Congress proclaimed its intention to “establish a home for the Jewish people in Palestine secured under public law”.

Between 1904 and 2014, about 40,000 people settled (The second Aliyah) in the area now known as ‘Israel’ (part of the Ottoman Empire). During WWI, UK was sympathetic towards the Zionist cause. Then came the Balfour Declaration & as we well know, how YOUR imperialist masters are!

And in no way can one draw a parallel between the creation of Israel and the demolition of a disputed structure like you have!

I guess it is better you stick to your Surathi, dear Tooth Shaker. Cheers.
