Uttar Pradesh CM praises Odisha’s social security programmes

Bhubaneswar, Oct 29 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday met his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik and praised the state’s social security programmes.

Yadav met Patnaik at the state secretariat here and praised the Odisha government’s social security programmes aimed at the uplift of the rural poor.

“I got enough opportunities to learn from the experiences of Odisha chief minister and to know him better,” Yadav said.

“We held discussion on matters of mutual interest,” the Odisha chief minister said.

Yadav is on a two-day visit to Odisha, during which he would pay obeisance at Lord Jagannath temple at Puri on Friday.
