Vamanjoor Pavan Raj Murder Case, Three Arrested

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Rural Police have arrested three persons on July 26, in connection with the murder of Rowdy-sheeter Pavan Raj who was killed on July 24 night at Vamanjoor.

The arrested have been identified as Bipin Jogi alias Ganesh Rao (29), from Thoipacal, Tiruvail, Charan alias Charan Raj alias Rajesh (22) from Nisargadhama Moodshedde and Harish Poojary alias Nonayya Poojary (28) from Amrit Nagar Vamanjoor.

Pavan Raj was murdered on July 24 after a group clash at an abandoned house at Vamanjoor.

According to sources, the accused had left the weapon used for the crime at the spot.

On July 25, Pavan Raj’s brother Karthik Raj filed a complaint regarding the murder of his brother in the Mangaluru Rural police station. In this connection, a case was filed under section 302 and IPC 34. A special investigation team was also formed to nab the accused.

On July 26, on getting information about the accused who were in Puttur Bus stand the Mangaluru Rural police got into action. The team led by Police Inspector Shivaprakash reached Puttur KSRTC bus stand and arrested Bipin, Charan and Harish.

Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and Traffic Hanaumantharaya a special team from Mangaluru Rural Police station was formed to investigate the case.Police Inspector of Mangaluru Rural Police station H Shivaprakash, PSI Sudhakar, Venkatesh, Sudheer Kumar, Mohana L, Dayanand, Subhashchandra, Vincent, Ranjan, Nutan, Lathesh and Sadashiv investigated the case. During investigations, they found that the murder accused are hiding Puttur.

All the accused were produced before the court.
