Addressing the gathering Dr Sampath Rao said, “Even though there are many criticisms about Homoeopathy medicines, Homoeopathy theories are based on fixed principles of the Laws of Nature which do not change — unlike medical theories which are constantly changing. Homoeopathy is an evidence-based, empirical medicine, it is both an art and a science. Homoeopathic medicine awakens and stimulates the body’s own curative powers. The potentized remedy acts as a catalyst to set healing into motion. It assists the body to heal itself, to overcome an illness which brings the patient to a higher level of health. The homoeopathic practitioner treats the whole person, believing all symptoms are interrelated and seeks to select a medicine which most closely covers them all.”

He furthers aid, ” One should know that Homoeopathic remedies are cheap, while Pharmaceutical medicines are expensive. Homoeopathic medicines have no toxic side-effects and are non-addictive. Every true homoeopathic medicine is made using one substance — whether plant, mineral, metal, etc. The exact substance is known, unlike most modern drugs where we are rarely informed of the ingredients. Homoeopaths treat genetic illness, tracing its origins to 6 main genetic causes: Tuberculosis, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Psora (scabies), Cancer, Leprosy. My advice to all you Homoeopathic doctors, when you treat your patients do your job with dedication, commitment and respect. Keep your profession with dignity and pride. Your signature should be an autograph. Best of luck to all of you in the conference”.

Fr Patrick Rodrigues in his presidential address said, ” If you visit our Hospital museum, you will find a small medicine chest, which is like a Holy Box, which was brought by Fr Augustus Muller in 1880 which contained medicines. From that year the seed has grown and now we have our own Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical division, which has been in existence for so many years having been started in 1880 by the late Fr. Augustus Muller S.J. K.I.H. since its beginning, its voyage through, a milestone after the other, and now in the newly built, GMP certified Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Company ., a fully mechanized set-up with huge capacities to manufacture mother tinctures, dilutions, tablets, triturations, liquid orals, ointments, external oils, external powders, Fr. Müller specifics and Specialties. As a global Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical company, we take very seriously our responsibility to help alleviate the burden of disease on individuals and on the world. Our wide range of Homoeopathic medicines brings hope and health to people around the globe.”

“Homoeopathic medicines are cheaper and effective. Although Homoeopathic medicines are advancing, but sadly no one has made a great name in homoeopathy division. So all you newcomers into Homoeopathic world of medicines, try to achieve excellence, make sure your work is recognised, and make sure you are also recognised in the society. To all you delegates have an informative and successful conference and hope you will learn something new to reach Homoeopathic medicine to greater heights”. added Rev Fr Rodrigues.
