Vice President greets people on Christmas eve

New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has greeted countrymen on the eve of the festival of Christmas.

Ansari said the festival reaffirms our faith in the values of compassion and forgiveness taught by Lord Jesus, said an official statement.

“I convey my warm greetings and best wishes to all our citizens on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. May this festival bring peace, harmony and happiness in our lives,” Ansari said.

Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration by people around the world.
