‘We Oppose Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Public Address in M’luru’- Sangh Parivar

Mangaluru : Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Working president Prof. M B Puranik said, “Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Jagarna Vedike along with many other like-minded organizations have decided to stop Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan from addressing a rally on “Communal Harmony” to be held on 25 February 2017. It is ironic that such a public programme on Communal Harmony should be attended by a person who is from a political party, whose hands are stained with the blood of hundreds of innocent Indians who were butchered for the only reason that they followed conflicting political ideologies”

Puranik further said, “We have already approached the DC, Police Commissioner, DCP and ACP and submitted our memorandum opposing Vijayan’s public address in Mangaluru. We have urged that Pinarayi Vijayan should not be allowed to enter this district and address the planned gathering this weekend. We feel that it is not advisable to have a person from a constituency named Dharmadom in Kerala which has witnessed thirteen murders from 1969 until a recent murder few days ago. Vijayan hailing from a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M)- it is a party which is very well known for its violence-driven activism throughout India and specifically in Kerala. It is only farcical that the CPI-M is projecting itself as a champion of democracy whereas the facts and statistics on the violence it has undertaken prove otherwise”

“The constituency of Dharmadom, from which Pinarayi Vijayan was elected in the 2016 state elections, is a town in Kannur District of Kerala, which is a witness to 13 political motivated murders. The CPI-M which has a strong base in this district has been successful in peddling violence in the name of protection of the minority. Looking at all these murders in this constituency of Pinarayi Vijayan, the said list of murders being only illustrative is a horrifying testimony to the fact that the CPI-M and its leaders, who believe in the ideology of power by any means, are a threat to the peace and harmony in the nation”, added Puranik.

Puranik further said, “It is evident that the sentiments of the people of DK has been hurt by the fact that a leader of the party which is a pioneer in political murders is even being allowed to address a public rally in our district. It is in this regard that we are calling for a peaceful protest on 25 February, against the public speech at the Communal Harmony’ programme. We urge that Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan be restricted from making public appearance in DK and also barred from making his speech at the programme.
We are not against anyone else addressing this Communal Harmony rally, but strongly oppose Vijayan’s presence, because we anticipate there could be communal unrest due to his visit here”

When couple of reporters posed a query as to why PM Narendra Modi having bunch of cases against him pending while he was CM of Gujarath is allowed to have public speeches without any protests from the saffron groups, for which there was a mixed up answer from the members of BD, VHP, and HJV seated on the dais. Bhujanga Kulal of BD, Amith Kumar of HJV, Sharan Pumpwell of BD and Jagadish Shenava of VHP were also present on the dais.

  1. Kerala Chief Minister from ‘Somalia’ as described by PM Modi into smart city is not allowed.
Whomsoever preach the hate is welcome with garland ‘like athithi devo bhava’.

These fanatics don’t know how to utter single Shloka and mantra wearing Saffron shawl and thread wanted to impose restriction to movement of elected people’s representative.

These people should know not allowing Kerala Chief Minister to participate in the programme is a blatant violation of the decorum of the federal system.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was unable to attend an event in Bhopal following protests by right-wing activists.

Pinarayi Vijayan, who was in Bhopal on his maiden visit, was to attend an event organized by Malayali Association in Bhopal at 5.30 pm. However, minutes before the event was to begin, several activists from Bajrang Dal and other right-wing organizations protested against the increasing number of attacks on BJP/RSS workers in Kerala.

“Generally when a Chief Minister visits another state, there are protocols. But since the RSS was behind the protests, the police remained silent. It reflects the culture of RSS,”.

  2. Well, who else is more qualified to lecture us on ‘communal harmony’ than the CM from a state where youth are joining ISIS?? Kerala is a success story in implementing communal harmony. Take a look at ISIS recruits, chopping of a Christian lecturer’s hand, murdering BJP activists and many such stories. These are a clear proof of the great tolerant society they have!! I am also very proud of our ‘brave’ media and political leaders who hide under desk and apologize to vote banks on regular basis. Great!!
