Bantwal: A complaint has been filed at the Vittal police that a woman has gone missing along with one of her two children.
Ameena (26), wife of Qalandar Shafi of Radhukatte in Vittal Padnur village, had reportedly left her mother’s house in Bolantur Kanakodi about a week ago to bring medicine for toothache from a shop. She took her 7-month-old daughter Fatimat Shaheena with her.
She had been given in marriage to Qalandar four years ago. They have two children from their marriage.
Enquiries with all relatives and acquaintances have failed to elicit any information about her whereabouts. Finally a complaint was filed at the police station.
The Vittal police have requested that anyone spotting the mother and the child or knowing their whereabouts should inform them.
