World gymnastics: Russian wins women’s vault final, India’s Dipa fifth

Glasgow, Nov 1 (IANS) Russia’s Paseka Maria won women’s vault title at 2015 World Gymnastics Championships.

The 20-year-old gymnast won gold by a total score of 15.666, followed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s Hong Un Jong, 15.633, and the United States’ Biles Simone, 15.541 here on Saturday, reported Xinhua.

Britain’s Downie Elissa and India’s Dipa Karmarkar garnered the fourth and the fifth place with a total score of 14.899 and 14.683 respectively.

China’s Wang Yan got the sixth place with a total score of 14.583 in two jumps.
