Udupi: Suchitra (25), daughter of Sudhakar Poojary of Nittur of Puttur village near here, drowned in a stream late in the evening of June 21.
She worked in a clinic near the city bus stand here and was returning home after working hours. Around 7-30 pm, she was at the turn near the ‘garadi’. While passing the stream in the dark, she lost balance and drowned in the force of flowing water.
Those nearby pulled her and took her to a private hospital where she was declared to have died already.
A case has been registered in the town police station.
