14-year-old Student Commits Suicide at Kulshekar
Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old student committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan at an apartment in Kotimura, Kulshekar here on January 30.
The deceased has been identified as Gyanesh (14) from Kotimura, Kulshekar.
According to the police, the deceased was residing along with his parents at the Red Bricks Apartment in Kotimura. On January 30, while Gyanesh was using his mobile his parents scolded him. Gyanesh got upset and said that he was going to have a bath and locked the room.
Gyanesh did not come out of the room for a long time and did not respond when they called him. On entering the room his father Jagadish found Gyanesh hanging to the ceiling fan using a shawl. Jagadish cut the shawl and lowered Gyanesh and found that he was already dead.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
