143 Police Personnel Promoted to Higher Ranks in Mangaluru Commissionerate

143 Police Personnel Promoted to Higher Ranks in Mangaluru Commissionerate

Mangaluru: 143 police personnel were promoted to next grade in a ceremony held at the Police community hall here on July 4.

The programme began with an invocation. DCP Law and order Hanuamantharaya welcomed the gathering.

Police commissioner Sandeep Patil issued the promotion orders to 143 police personnel. Sandeep Patil also congratulated all the 143 police personnel who were promoted to next grade.

Addressing the police personnel Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said, “Today you have been promoted to higher ranks and from today your responsibilities have also increased. You need to be more efficient after your promotion. You should move forward with time and learn about the law related to various crimes. When there are any problems, you should tackle them with proper knowledge and appropriate measures. In this modern world, the police department has new challenges. Computer knowledge is must for every one of you”.

Sandeep Patil further said, “You all have worked hard in the past and because of your hard work you have been promoted and along with it your duties have also increased. After the promotion, you will be transferred to other stations according to seniority. You will be expecting stations where there is less work but you should accept new challenges and be prepared to go to any station without hesitation.”

Sandeep Patil also said, “Recently a traffic police was assaulted in Ullal, but a home guard identified the accused and helped us to arrest him. Nowadays cyber crimes have increased and every police should learn to work with computers. In every field, computers are must and all should have the necessary knowledge. Some say that I have very few years left in service but everyone should learn to work with computers. When you learn new things, we will help you. Be it cybercrime, Naxalism or terrorism, we have to face the challenges. Earlier we were mostly cracking cases of house theft, theft and many other cases but now cybercrime is rampant. All should work hard to make the Mangaluru and Karnataka police department proud. If you have any problems, we are always there to guide you and solve the problems. I wish all the 143 police personnel all the very best”.

DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh delivered the vote of thanks. ACP – North Sub-Division, Srinivas Gowda R IPS, ACP – South Sub-Division K Ramarao, ACP – North Sub-Division ACP – Traffic Sub-Division Manjunath Shetty and others were also present.
