162 Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in DK on July 22
Mangaluru: According to the State health bulletin, 162 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and five persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 22.
Out of the 162 positive cases, thirteen persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. One person had returned from the Gulf. Seventy persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and Eighteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of sixty others.
All the 162 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, sixty-nine persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
