2.8 Kgs Gold Worth Rs 98 Lakh Concealed in Drill Machine Seized at KIA
Kannur: The Officers of the Customs busted a modus operandi of smuggling gold concealed in the drilling machine by a passenger and seized 2.8 Kgs of gold on July 10.
The passenger has been identified as Shabeeb a resident of Malappuram. Shabeeb arrived at the Kannur International Airport on July 10 from Doha by IX 774.
The total value of the seized gold is Rs 98 Lakhs. Shabeeb has been taken into custody for further investigations.
A case has been registered in this regard.
