22-year-old Youth arrested for Pelting stones at Mosque
Ullal: A 22-year-old youth has been arrested by the Ullal police while he was pelting stones at the Masjidul Huda Mosque at Thokkottu here on March 18.
The arrested has been identified as Sagar (22) a resident of Bhatnagar.
According to the police, on March 17, late night Sagar pelted stones at the Masjidul Huda Mosque at Thokkottu and broke three window panes. Later he fled from the spot. When the religious head of the Mosque, residing in the Mosque premises heard the sound, he informed the locals.
Immediately the locals gathered at the spot and while searching for miscreants, they found Sagar hiding in a nearby area with stones and ganja in his hands.
Ullal police have registered a case and are investigating.
Thanks for the objective reporting and not liking this incident to ‘sangha parivaara’ because this guy had a distant uncle who once voted for BJP!! The fact that he was caught with ganja in hand tells everything you need to know about the incident and motive. I wish we had similar balancing reporters during imaginary attacks on church right after BJP came to power. Oh well..
