23-year-old hotel Employee Jumps from 6th floor, Dies
Mangaluru: A hotel employee committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the hotel he was working at Bendurwell here on April 26.
The deceased has been identified Nihal Bhandary (23), son of Late Mohan Bhandary, a resident of Pumpwell.
Speaking to mangalorean.com the owner of the Hotel said, “Nihal had joined the hotel as a receptionist 45 days ago. Although he was a resident of Pumpwell he was not going home but was staying in the hotel accommodation. We had observed him of being very dull and quiet lately. He was saying that his sister is getting married. On April 26, at around 4:00 pm, he committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor.”
The exact reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
ACP Central Uday Nayak along with Kadri Police reached the spot. The body has been sent to the government Wenlock hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Kadri Police station.
