26-year-old Youth Dies in bike-bus Collision in Karkala
Karkala: A 26-year-old youth died after the bike he was riding collided head-on with a KSRTC Bus at Ganithanagara near Kukkundoor on Wednesday, January 16.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh (26) a resident of Kukkundooru near Karkala. Two other pillion riders Murugesh and Velu were injured and shifted to private hospitals.
According to the Karkala Rural Police, the KSRTC bus was on its way to Karkala from Udupi, at Ganithanagara the bike rider tried to overtake another vehicle and in the process collided with the bus coming from the opposite direction. Dinesh who sustained serious head injuries died on the spot while the other two pillion riders were injured and shifted to private hospitals.
A case has been registered in the Karkala Police Station.
