3 Youth from Udupi Die in Sira after Car Crashes into Retaining Wall

3 Youth from Udupi Die in Sira after Car Crashes into Retaining Wall

Tumkur: Three youth were killed and 2 injured after the car in which they were travelling crashed into a retaining wall of the bridge on Sira – Hiriyur NH 48 here on February 26.

The deceased have been identified as Chetan (27), Vinay (28) and Likhith (26) and the injured are Hemanth (28) and Lohith (27) all from Udupi.

According to sources, on February 26, all the five were travelling from Bengaluru to Udupi by Hyundai I20 car. At around 2:30 am, when they reached near Sira the driver lost control over the car and crashed into the retaining wall of the Manangi bridge killing Chethan and Vinay on the spot. The injured were rushed to the hospital in Tumkur but Likhith succumbed to injuries on the way.

Tavarakere police have registered a case and investigation is on.
