30th Nrityaantaranga by Young Dancers –‘Shadkona’!

30th Nrityaantaranga by Young Dancers –‘Shadkona’!

Puttur/Mangaluru: Sri Mookambika Cultural Academy(R.) of Puttur which is regularly conducting dance series ‘Nrityaantaranga’ observed a successful 30th series by its own young talented troupe ‘Shadkona’. Shadkona, as the name says is a group of 6 upcoming artistes with dedication and enthusiasm. Kum.Isha Sulochana Muliya, Akshaya Parvathi Saroli, Vindhya Karanth, Shama Chandukudlu, Shreya Kalluraya and Prarthana.B. are the young students of Vidwan Deepak Kumar Puttur whos have given the successful show. The evening was inaugurated by Dr.Shobitha Sathish, lecturer, and artiste who insisted on the importance of fine arts in student life to bring dedication and discipline and the importance of Guru-Shishya relationship as the day were Guru Poornima.

Vidwan Deepak Kumar welcomed the gathering and the event started with the able Nattuvanga by Deepak Kumar, Vocal by Vidushi Preethikala and Mridanga by Sri Shridhar Rai Kasaragod. The evening was started by a Ganesha sthuthi in Shuddha Dhanyasi Raga, Aditala by all the 6 Dancers. Then the next item was a krithi in Sriranjani Raga, Aditala, composed by Papanasham Shivan –‘Gajavadana Karunasadana’, another Ganesha sthuthi by Shama Chandukudlu. Shama Gave a good start for the solo performance section with neat abhinaya and movements. Shama is the daughter of Ganesh chandukudlu and Smt.Ravikala Ganesh and has passed her Junior Grade exam in the year 2015.

The third dance number was Saraswathi sthuthi in Hindola Raga, Aditala, a composition of Mysuru Vasudevacharya, ‘Mamavathu Sri Saraswathi’. Isha gave a beautiful performance with neat expressions praising Saraswathi. Isha is the daughter of Krishna Narayana Muliya and Smt.Ashwini Krishna of Muliya Jewels, Puttur and has appeared for Junior Grade Exam on May 2017. The next presentation was Vishnu Sthuthi in Vasantha Raga, Aditala, a composition of Swathi Tiral Maharaja –‘Paramapurusha Jagadheeshwara’ by Vindhya Karantha. Vindhya gave a very emotional presentation in bringing out the various forms of Lord Vishnu. She is the daughter of Prof.Krishna Karantha and Sandhya Karantha and recently appeared for Junior Exam in May 2017.

The fifth dance was Devi Sthuthi by Shreya Kalluraya in Janaranjani raga, Aditala, composed by Mahavaidyanatha Iyyer. Shreya gave a very neat performance. She is the daughter of Sudheer Kalluraya and Sudha Sudheer and has passed Junior grade exam in 2015. Kum.Prarathana.B, gave the following performance. Prarthana gave a energetic performance in ‘Ananda Thandaveshwarana’ a kannada Krithi in Nagaswaravali raga and Aditala. Prarthana is the daughter of Dr.Shriprakash, a well known dentist and Smt.Archana Prakash.

The following was a famous composition ‘Brochevarevarura’ in Kamach raga and Aditala by Akshaya Parvathi Saroli. Akshaya gave a mesmerizing performance in depicting devotion on Rama. She is the daughter of Sachin Saroli and Smt.Vinoda Saroli. The concluding item was a rare krithi in Nasikabhooshiniraga ‘Sri Ramaa Saraswathi’. This was performed jointly by all the 6 artistes, then moved on to Mangalam.

The audience observed the dedication and efforts of these young talents, their parents and also the able guidance by the guru. Nrityaanranga has given platforms through which many such budding talents have a great opportunity to showcase, to develop and to interact with the audience.
