37-year-old Soldier Muralidhar Rai from Shaktinagar Dies of Heart Attack in Bhopal
Mangaluru: A 37-year-old soldier from Shaktinagar, Muralidhar Rai, died of a heart attack in Bhopal here on January 23.
The mortal remains of Muralidhar arrived at the Mangalore International Airport on January 24. The District Administration paid the last respect to the soldier at the martyr’s memorial at Mangaluru International Airport.
Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar M R, ZP CEO Dr Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Madan Mohan and In-charge Chief Airport Security Officer A V Kishore Kumar paid their last respect to soldier Muralidhar Rai at the martyr’s memorial at Mangaluru International Airport.
Muralidhar Rai with Shashtra Seema Bal died of a heart attack in Bhopal in the intervening night of Jan 22 and the early hours of January 23. Muralidhar Rai was a resident of Shaktinagar, Mangaluru and joined the SSB as a constable in 2007.
Muralidhar Rai is survived by his wife Usha Kiran and a 7-month-old child. Rai incidentally was to arrive in Mangaluru on holiday on Tuesday to perform the rituals of his mother’s first death anniversary.
The mortal remains have been shifted to the mortuary of A J Hospital. The final rites will be held at the soldiers’ house in Shaktinagar on January 25.
