5 Killed in Bus – Lorry Head-on Collision
Mysuru: Five persons died on the spot and 10 others were severely injured after a KSRTC collided head-on into a Lorry at Hunsur here on October 26.
The incident took place early in the morning. The impact of the accident was such the front portion of the Bus and the lorry was badly damaged.
According to the police, the KSRTC bus was plying from Virajpet to Mysuru and the Lorry was coming from the opposite direction.
In the incident, the driver and conductor of the Bus, the Lorry driver and two other passengers died on the spot. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru. Locals assisted in shifting the injured to the hospital.
A case has been registered in the Hunsur police station.
