ABVP Demands Action Against Amnesty Intl, Hands Over Memorandum to Governor

Mangaluru: The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest against the anti-India slogans in Bengaluru in front of the DC’s office here on August 17.

Prior to the protest, a rally was flagged off from Jyothi circle which culminated in front of the DC’s office. Students shouted slogans against the Amnesty International NGO for shouting anti-India slogans in Bengaluru.

Addressing the protesters ABVP leader Kirthan said that the ABVP activists organised a rally in Bengaluru demanding action against those who shouted anti-India slogans, but the state government instead of listening to our demands, used police force and lathi charged the students. Here in Mangaluru we are not protesting against the police, but against the state government for not taking action against those anti-nationals who had shouted anti-India slogans. If the government will not take action against the Amnesty International NGO and ban them, we will intensify our protest in the coming days, he warned.

ABVP leader Naveen speaking to the protestors said that, in Mangaluru, students have gathered in large numbers to show our strength that we love our country. In Bengaluru, ABVP activists had gathered to protest against anti-national elements who had shouted anti-India slogans and pressurise the government to take action against them. Instead of taking action against them, the state minister ordered the police to use lathies on the protesting students. Today we are not protesting against the police officers nor are we against the government. We demand that the government take action against those who had shouted anti-India slogans.

After receiving the memorandum, DC Dr Jagadeesha said, “This is a state matter. You have given me the memorandum to send it to the Governor. I will surely send the memorandum to the governor and see that action will be taken against those who shouted anti-India slogans”.

Later the students dispersed from the DC office.

  1. Only Sangha parivaara seems to have enough courage and passion to protest against anti-bharateeya forces. Other organizations in city are good for playing ‘vote bank’ politics or lecturing everyone on the dangers ‘moral policing’. When it comes to anti-Indian incidents, one group hides under the table in fear while the other group goes mysteriously silent!!! No special prizes for naming these two groups!! LOL

  2. Joker Praveena Pinto’s response sums up everything you need to know about self-hating members of ‘Beef Club’ and the sanaathana-dhwesha they are taught. He is not alone. It runs much deeper – Watch one John Dayaala talk with forked tongue who suffers from the very same sanaathana-dhwesha syndrome. He simply can’t bring himself to repudiate those rats who shouted anti-indian slogans. Thank (imaginary) God – we still have a journalist like Arnab to expose these despicable characters.

Lol. I was talking about school going kids ‘bunking’ classes to take part in a ‘walkathon’ and the silly twerp somehow has to bring in his ‘Sanaaaaathaaana’ stuff and throw in the word ‘dwesha’ too and further, link me to it. LMAO! 🙂 🙂 🙂

He Bhagwan, kidar se pakad ke laaya hamara Rampa ko? 🙂 🙂

Garnab Arswami… the SAME chap who had 2 – 3 Newshour (actually hysterical outbreaks) shows on that horse called Shakthimaaaaanaaa?

  5. Mr. Praveen Pinto,

For some reason, you do not like Arnab Goswami. However, this man has guts and is not in the back pockets of selected politicians and political parties.

Do you know one electronic media’s honcho is related to an activist who ondopenly meets and socializes with Umar Mirwaiz, Syed Shah Geelani, etc. and, again, undesirable elements in the North Eastern States. She openly says that Jammu & Kashmir, the North Eastern States are not part of India. I expressed that twit my feelings and disgust, but she did not respond.

What is the use of having a television interview with political figures, when the electronic media anchors get over-awed at their mere presence or enjoy freebies or defend that a student at JNU who, instead of having completed his studies years ago and vacating his dormitory, is going around the country and creating a shindig.

I have high regards for that police horse, Shaktiman. He was at least loyal, compared to most netas.

    • For some reason, you do not like Arnab Goswami. – Mr. Nelson

Oh well, not really. If you mean to ask me – do I hate him, it is NO again. It is just that he simply doesn’t give other people a chance to talk and outshouts them into ‘submission’.

Earlier, I used to enjoy his shows. However, when his self-praise videos were aired, I kind-of grew tired of it and that was it! Nowadays, if at all I watch him, I ensure that the volume is on mute as I’m content admiring his tie and the cut of his suit. Nonetheless, I occasionally do watch his shows – especially if it has Paki guests on the panel.

And oh… what got my goat was the ‘glorification’ of Shakthiman. Jeez, man… it was 20th April, 2016! I was surfing channels and settled on Times Now and what do I see?

Lo – Garnaba Arswami in person – wearing a very very very dark suit (tailor-made for Shakthiman’s UNTIMELY demise is my best bet), misty-eyed, a sombre expression on his mug, a catch in his voice (Thankfully he didn’t have a handkerchief OR a beach-towel to dry his red eyes), his unusually high-pitched voice toned down a couple of thousand frequencies (ditto for the decibel level too)….. the works.

For a moment, I thought somebody REAL important had kicked the bucket, OR worse – NASA had predicted that our Earth had ONLY some 6 hours to ‘live’ as a giant asteroid was headed our way @ 25 kms per second. ‘Noooooooooooooooooo……Eli eli Lama Sabachtani’ (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?) was my first reaction! 🙁

Later I realized that it was a horse called Shakthiman. Groan! Gasp and Amen again!

Natak ke liye bi limit hota hai na, sir’ji?

  6. Mr. Praveen Pinto,

I read your post and sniggered.

I like to listen to Arnab Goswami, as well as Maruf Raza, who is the Defence Analyst for Times Now, especially when the Pakistani delegation is called for panel discussions.

It becomes a shouting match then. Arnab Goswami will accuse Pakistani and Pakistanis will give back. Some Pakistani panelists attending the first time, cannot bear the heat and run away with tails between their legs.

    • Say, Mr. Nelson, in one of Garnab Arswami’s ‘self-praise’ propaganda videos, he screams something that goes as follows:

“YOU want to come in on the show and bring YOUR politics along with you?” He makes it sound like as if people are out on a walk, or, have had a ‘Paani Puri’ and to cool off or digest it, decide to just walk in on his ‘show’ and have a field day exercising their vocal chords.

And, since when did Times Now become ‘National Television’?

And, WHY does the country WANT to know ALMOST each and everything that unfolds on his ‘show’? If I’m not mistaken, some 350 + million Indians are termed as “chronically starving”. And I’ll bet you that they SURELY don’t WANT to know ANYTHING except FROM WHERE their next meal will come from & NOT what it consists of.

  7. “Earlier, I used to watch his shows” writes Joker Praveena Pinto

LOL LOL So, what happened? Are you upset now that he is going after anti-national elements? Are you offended because Aranab Goswami is critical of your old roommates during Saudi stay? LOL

  8. Lol lol. So, what happened? A…Are you offended because Arnab Goswami is critical of your old roommates during Saudi stay? – RampaNNA

Yeah man! He remembered that you and I were sharing a 10 x 10 foot room with some 8 others in Saudi. He was so critical of you, your loose talk, your unerring support for ABVP/BD/RSS fringe elements etc. and he even brought it up during one of his shows.

Now, you know me very well. I ALWAYS stand-up for my pals. And since you are my ‘bestestest’ pal out here, there & everywhere, there was NO WAY that I could stand his open criticism of you simple-minded you. And imagine the gall of the chap – that too on National Television & DEMANDING that the ka.. ka.. da Country WANTS to know! Harrumph!

That’s why I ‘watch’ Garnab Arswami on ‘mute’ and I sincerely hope that I did the right thing, your ‘Lardship’. 😉

  9. “you and I were sharing …room with 8 others…Arnab was so critical of you, your lose talk…he even brought it up during one of his shows” – writes Joker Praveena Pinto, probably sitting on concrete floor in a tiny room with no windows.

So, I was this guy’s roommate in Saudi Arabia? Arnab Goswami personally knows me and makes it a point to criticize me in his shows???? And, he watches Arnab’s show on ‘mute’?? I wonder how many years one has to spend in isolation in a dark room before sounding this crazy!!! LOL I wish I could ask Praveena Pinto. Then again, there is no guarantee he would answer my question – He may very well change the subject and start talking about masaaala dosa, coffee and queen Victoria!! Oh well…
