Architect Divya Avin Clears IGBC Exam and Gains Accreditation
Udupi: Architect Divya Avin has successfully cleared the prestigious Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) examination and earned IGBC Accreditation, marking a major milestone in sustainable architecture and green building design.
Divya completed both her Bachelor of Architecture and Postgraduate Degree in Urban Design and Development(MSAP) from the Manipal School of Architecture & Planning, MAHE. She is currently working as an architect at Atlaaya Design, Udupi, under the guidance of the firm’s director Ar Mithun Kadri.
The IGBC Accreditation is one of India’s most respected credentials, recognising professionals skilled in eco-friendly design, energy efficiency and sustainable construction. In today’s world of rapidly depleting natural resources, creating awareness about conservation and thoughtful design has become more crucial than ever. Equally important is fostering awareness among the general public, so that architects can work to create truly sustainable spaces. The IGBC rating system plays a vital role in this journey towards building a greener future. Divya’s achievement reinforces her commitment to green architecture and serves as an inspiration for young design professionals. Divya D.D. Wife of Avin Udayavani, a journalist.
