Army chief General Dhiraj Seth reviews operational readiness of Spear Corps

New Delhi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth has visited the Spear Corps to review the operational readiness of all formations and the progress of ongoing border development initiatives.

During the visit on Thursday, the COAS was comprehensively briefed on multiple facets of capability development and the range of measures being implemented to further enhance combat capability.

The briefings covered the current state of preparedness across formations, infrastructure upgrades along the borders, and steps taken to strengthen overall operational effectiveness.

General Seth interacted with officers and troops, assessing the preparedness of units tasked with critical responsibilities.

He took stock of the measures underway to improve infrastructure, logistics and operational infrastructure in forward areas, underscoring the importance of sustained development along the borders.

The Army Chief commended all ranks for their professionalism and unconditional commitment to duty.

He noted the high standards of discipline and dedication displayed by personnel of the Spear Corps and expressed satisfaction with the progress made in key areas of capability enhancement.

In his address, General Seth exhorted the troops to remain vigilant, agile and mission-focused at all times.

He urged them to continue striving for excellence while upholding the highest standards of operational preparedness.

The COAS emphasised that constant readiness and a proactive approach remain essential in the evolving security environment.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s focus on maintaining peak combat readiness and accelerating border infrastructure development.

It also highlighted the leadership’s commitment to ensuring that formations stay fully prepared to meet any operational challenge.

Officials present during the interaction noted that the review provided an opportunity to align ongoing initiatives with the broader goals of modernisation and enhanced combat effectiveness.

The COAS’s guidance is expected to further reinforce the culture of excellence and operational focus across the Corps.
