Arshi says well-known politician behind the assault
Mumbai: An FIR (First Information Report) was registered by the Malwani police on Tuesday late night, after model and actress Arshi Khan filed a complaint. The police registered FIR No 22/16 u/s 379, 34, etc., of the IPC. According to the complaint, while Arshi Khan was returning from a shoot at Marve-Aksa, she stopped at the Malwani Sector I signal and was walking towards sector 4 when two unknown person brushed across her on a bike and pushed her down. They tried to snatch her handbag, but were unable to do so as the bag was entwined on her shoulder. They then snatched her Rs 48,000 worth brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and fled on the bike. Then entire incident happened within less than 2 minutes and before the actress could recover, the thugs had fled on their bike.
The controversial actress who was relieved of her brand new Rs 48k Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Smartphone at Malwani near Marve-Aksa Road on Tuesday night said:
“I was walking down the Malwani Sector 1 road going towards Malwani police station. I had gone there to meet two friends and social worker Nevada Putman and John Daniels. Both Putman and Daniels are very active local BJP leaders and I was going to meet them to discuss an upcoming event. I had ordered some snack food and was munching on it and walking on the road which was quite crowded. I wanted to check a phone number and took out my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 from my handbag. I noted the number and was about to put the phone in my bag, when two bike-borne pickpockets brushed past me and pushed me forcefully. I fell on the ground. The pillion rider tried to snatch my hand bag, but could not. He then grabbed my phone and the two sped away in a matter of a few seconds. I was shocked for a moment. By the time, I raised a hue and cry the two men on the bike had disappeared. They were driving a black-red color motor bike and due to the dark, it was not possible to see them or the make and brand of the bike or the registration number of the bike. The two men had sped away in a matter of 3 to 5 seconds. The mobile phone had a Airtel SIM card with mobile no 77109xxxxx”
In her complaint to the police Arshi Khan said this is not a simple case of theft. In fact, I am being threatened, pursued and victimized by a well-known politician who has been harassing me for the last 2-3 months regarding some property dispute. The police only registered a complaint of theft, but this is a bigger matter and a very powerful politician from Mumbai suburbs is involved.
Just three months earlier outside Infinity Mall Malad Arshi Khan’s Samsung Galaxy Edge + costing Rs 55k was snatched from her hand as she was in an auto rickshaw near the Infinity Mall on Malad Link road.
The Bangur Nagar police station had registered an FIR 367/2015 u/s 379 (robbery) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code during that time. The Bangur Nagar police are yet to identify the thieves. No proper investigation was done in that case. Even there I told the police that this is not a simple case of theft, but some rich and powerful people are involved. Arshi Khan had earlier taken on Radhe Maa, accusing her of running a hawala and sex racket.
