Auto Rickshaw Driver killed in Road Mishap at Uchila
Udupi: An Auto Rickshaw driver was killed in a road mishap on NH 66 near Uchila Mahalakshmi Temple here on Wednesday, September 21.
The deceased has been identified as Dhanpal (42) resident of Yermal Thenka.
According to sources, the incident occurred near the Mahalakshmi Temple in Uchila. A private bus which was heading towards Udupi hit the Auto rickshaw moving in the same direction on the narrow road. A scooty following the bus also hit the bus. The seriously injured Auto Rickshaw driver was rushed to the hospital but he breathed his last on the way. The two-wheeler rider escaped with minor injuries.
Padubidri Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
