Ballari: ASI, driver suspended
Ballari: Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbaragi has issued a notification by suspending an ASI and driver of District Armed Reserve Force vehicle, on the charges of receiving bribe during highway patrolling from the vehicle riders. The suspended ASI has been identified as Faruq, who was working at Kurugod Police Station and driver Iqbal of District Armed Reserve Force.
A few days back, a video of these people receiving the bribe from the vehicle riders on Siruguppa road went viral on social media sites. Based on that, they were suspended two days back and an investigation is going on in this regard, he said.
