BESCOM Launches India’s First Land Aggregator Portal for EV Infrastructure for Single-Window Power Supply Facilitation
Bengaluru: Strengthening Karnataka’s green mobility ecosystem, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has launched India’s first Land Aggregator Portal for the establishment of EV charging and battery-swapping stations, integrated with a single-window digital dashboard for facilitating electricity supply. The initiative is aimed at accelerating EV infrastructure development and supporting the state’s clean and sustainable mobility transition.

The unique portal was recently launched by Energy Minister K.J. George at the BESCOM Corporate Office. It serves as a single-window interface for private landowners, government departments, private institutions, and Charge Point Operators (CPOs) seeking to establish EV charging and battery-swapping stations across Karnataka, while also enabling coordinated power supply arrangements through BESCOM.
The Land Aggregator Portal enables landowners and EV infrastructure developers to fast-track the establishment of public EV charging facilities across urban areas and highway corridors. The initiative is aligned with national electric mobility programmes, including the National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV), and reflects the broader objective of promoting clean mobility, public-private partnerships, and scalable EV infrastructure in the state.
Through the portal, landowners can lease land for EV charging and battery-swapping installations on a revenue-sharing basis, while vendors and CPOs can manage installation, operation, and maintenance. The single-window dashboard also facilitates timely electricity connectivity, reducing procedural delays and ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders.
The launch of the Land Aggregator Portal marks a key milestone in building a robust and future-ready EV ecosystem in Karnataka. By simplifying land aggregation and power supply facilitation, the initiative supports the state’s transition toward a low-carbon economy, creates local economic opportunities, and enhances EV accessibility for consumers.
“The launch of the Land Aggregator Portal is an important milestone in building a strong and future-ready EV infrastructure. By integrating land aggregation with a single-window mechanism for power supply facilitation, BESCOM is making it significantly easier to establish EV charging and battery-swapping stations. This initiative promotes clean mobility, strengthens public-private partnerships, and creates economic opportunities for local communities,” said Dr. N. Shivashankara, Managing Director, BESCOM.
